Dr. Young
Dr. Young graduated from Guntersville High School in 1991, Auburn University in 1995 with a bachelors in Animal and Poultry Science, and Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He did mission work in Africa, Mongolia and Ecuador before returning to practice in Huntsville for 3 years. In 2002 he returned to Guntersville to practice here at Guntersville Animal Hospital. He is a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Albertville. In his time away from work he enjoys horseback riding and has 3 quarter horses. Dr. Young special areas of interest are orthopedics and takes referral cases from the surrounding counties. He also receives complex soft tissue, dentistry and dermatologic cases.

 

Vanessa Holsonback Vanessa Holsonback
Vanessa is our hospital manager and head secretary. She was born in Germany, but grew up here in Guntersville. She and her husband Kenneth are blessed with two little girls; Cloey and Emmalee, as well as their 7 year old boxer Dayton. She attends Radiant Life Fellowship in Albertville. Outside of work she enjoys her children, hiking and spelunking.


Aimee Mayerchin Aimee Mayerchin
Aimee is our head technician and does most of our anesthesia. She moved here from South Alabama to pursue her vet tech degree which she obtained in 05' and decided to stay here in the North. Her and her husband Lee are members of Albertville Baptist Church and live with their dog Sake and 5 cats Faith, Patience, Miss Kitty, Colossus, Romeo, guinea pig Tex, and uromastyx, Pepsi.


Tiffany Tiffany
Tiffany is also a technician, originally from Huntsville she now resides in Arab Alabama. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family/friends, going out on the lake and taking care of her Great Dane Roxy and Yorkie Riggs.




Misty Misty
Misty is one of our secretaries and is originally from Arab, Alabama. She is currently pursuing a degree from U.A.H., and is a senior captain on the cheerleading squad there. She has three of her own animals: Mason her chihuahua/dauchsand, Malcolm her West Highland White Terrier, and Cracker her cat.




Jeannie Jeannie
Jeannie is also a technician. She was born in Maryland and moved to North Alabama in 95'. She currently lives in Albertville with Roxy her Siberian Husky and enjoys playing sports with friends.




Chelsey Chelsey
Chelsey is from Blountsville Alabama. She graduated from J.B. Pennington and is currently a student at Wallace State Community College working towards a degree in physical therapy. In her free time she enjoys attending Victory Christian Church in Holly Pond, spending time with her family, and taking care of her dog Jack.



Jennifer Jennifer
Jennifer is a licensed technician. She is from Sand Mountain and worked in the human medical field before going back to school and getting her vet tech degree. Afterwards she went to work in Birmingham but eventually decided to come back and work in this area with us. She and her husband Brian are members of Free Life Worship Center and they live in Albertville with their daughter Brynne, their German Shepherd Mac, their 2 cats Maggie and Booboo, and rabbit Yogi.

Lindsey Lindsey
Lindsey is also a technician. She is from Guntersville and is currently pursuing her degree in nursing at U.A.H. Her household consists of Talen and Wednesday both domestic shorthair felines.


Alan
Alan is our groomer. He practiced as a respiratory therapist before becoming a certified professional groomer. He and his wife Alicia attend Trinity Lutheran and live in Cullman with their English bulldog Pie and Jewels their cat.
